Medical: Husband Charles Cranston signed death register.

The marriage certificate states "Stockbriggs" as Margaret's current residence and also as the place of the marriage. "Stockbriggs" was a "substantial mansion-house" erected by Mr. James W. Alston, Esq. who obtained the property about 1830 and "very much beautified and improved the estate". James Alston and his wife Margaret Hamilton Sstirling had a child named Charlotte Mary Alston, born 1851. Charles and Margaret Cranstoun named their first child Charlotte Alston Cranstoun.
