Notes

James and wife Sarah and family came to Canada in 1926 or 1927 from Roseneath. Letter from Cathie Matts states: "When we first came from Scotland in 1926 we stayed with them for a short iime until Mother and Dad found our own place...". ("Them" refers to Alex and Maggie Henderson).

Jas. Roy age 40 years of 2033 Dumbarton road, Scotstown, Glasgow is listed on the Montclaire ship manifest May 12, 1928 sailing from Greenock to Quebec and Montreal. His occuptaion is listed as a joiner, and his country of futue permanent residence is Canada. (His family followed on Oct 6, 1928.)

James is the second oldest.
