  David’s mother had a very famous brother sir Hugh S Robertson use composer and founder and director of the world-famous Glasgow Orpheus choir. US Robertson was born in the city of Glasgow in 1874. His family were owners of a funeral business of high repute. James Robertson and son, and Hugh became the owner of the firm those were the days when funeral undertakers had their own carpentry shops, their own horses and stables, and much else. He left the day-to-day running of the business to a manager, and I voted most of his time and energy to composing and to his beloved choir. The choir began in 1901 under who Robertsons conductor ship as the towing the musical association, when David was six years old in 1905 in adopt in the name of the Glasgow Orpheus choir, and from that year until
